Visual deterrent – it is intentionally packaged to resemble common defensive sprays like mace, CS and pepper spray, which can deter opportunistic offenders before things escalate.

EveAid is designed to deter, disrupt, and aid identification, not to injure or incapacitate. That is a constraint of UK law, and we work within it. The goal is to create a moment to disengage and escape, and to help police identify a suspect after the event. We don’t encourage anyone to “fight”; we encourage getting to safety.

Unlike other marker sprays on the market, which only emit a coloured dye easily identified and wiped off, EveAid is an aerosol spray that emits a strong, unpleasant (but harmless) odour whilst applying a UV marker at the same time, invisible to the naked eye, but detectable under UV light. Because it is invisible it can remain on the skin and clothes, undetected for up to three days, allowing police to place the individual at the scene through UV detection. 

The formulation is non-toxic and non-irritant. It does not cause pain, injury, or respiratory distress. That distinction is what keeps it within the confines of the law. No legal self-defence tool in the UK can promise incapacitation. EveAid is one layer in a broader personal-safety approach and we avoid sensational claims and we’re transparent that the primary benefits are deterrence, disruption, and identification.
